The Murals of Loveland Living Planet Aquarium

Congratulations to Brent Anderson for realizing a lifelong dream of someday opening a world-class aquarium. Well, as of March 25 of 2014, he witnessed and was part of the ribbon cutting ceremony of the new Loveland Living Planet Aquarium!

As for things on the “visual appeal” end of things, I had a lot to do! Hard to discern where one mural ends and another begins. But, there are somewhere in the neighborhood of 28 murals, including inside the River Otters habitat, the Mangrove/Mudskipper/Archerfish habitat, and then the gargantuan, 150’+ Amazon Rainforest mural in the Journey to South America exhibit.

Take a look at some of the photos. Not including time and planning, and looking for reference photos, these murals encompass around five months of  work, painting nearly every day.

I hope you enjoy looking at them, whether in photos or  in person, as much as I did creating them!
